Bunny Poop Popcorn

Here’s a fun, easy snack for Easter.  It only takes about 5-10 minutes and only a few ingredients.  I’ll give you a hint, it includes popcorn and m&ms.  These ingredients make great snacks on their own but have you tried them together?  The butter and chocolate flavors pair well together, in spite of being an unlikely pair.   This snack will definitely wake up your taste buds.

One of the great things about this snack is that it’s easy to make it your own.  You can add or take away any ingredients you like, such as sprinkles or chocolate chips.

Instructions
  1. Melt chocolate wafers in microwave. You can do this by melting it for 30 seconds at a time and stirring to keep from burning.
  2. If you are coloring your white chocolate, once chocolate is melted, stir in food coloring of your choice. *Skip this step if you have wafers that are already the color of your choice.
  3. Place your chocolate into a piping bag. If you do not have a piping bag, just use a Ziploc bag and cut a tiny hole in the corner.
  4. The last step is to mix all ingredients to your desired taste. I suggest doing it layer by layer to keep all the m&m's from falling to the bottom when stirred. You do this by placing first layer of popcorn in your preferred serving container(s). Then pipe on your chocolate and sprinkle on m&m's. Continue adding layer by layer until your container is full.
Recipe Notes

Feel free to add in any other ingredients that you like.  Such as:

  • Sprinkles
  • Chocolate chips
  • Nuts
  • Pretzels
  • Marshmallows

Use can use chocolate wafers or Wilton's candy coating.  You can also use white chocolate wafers and use food coloring to color the chocolate.

I feel the same way. I couldn’t help eating the ingredients separately but they tasted even better together.
